I was a website designer at Newsmy Technology Co. for 9 months. It's my first full-time job once I graduated from undergrad school in 2007 in China.

I designed 26 short motion graphics and presented on a large LED screen at the Newsmy's new digital products press conference in Beijing, China in 2008.
The products included smartphone, mp3 and mp4 (mp4 was very popular back the day). Every model holding the actual product when the screen showed the same product.
Website UI design for Newsmy products: GPS and mp3
Both are two different website designs. The GPS website design (on the left) is the home page prototype. Mp3 website design (on the right) is the product page, subpage prototype.
The challenge of GPS website design
The company tried to displayed as much information as they could on the site, because they had so many digital products. Therefore, I tried organized and compressed all information with simple visual design to show their products in a clear and logical way. So the audiences could easily found important information they needed. as the company's requirement, I organized the navigation bars as: about us, products, news, drives download, forum, support, hire, media, language. Then it's the new product displayed with sub navigation bars: products, product test, news, GPS business order, product identification. The next information was all other products and news.
The challenge of mp3 website design
The company required to displayed all of their product in one page. So I designed an interactive slide show gallery on the top. When the mouse moved to the thumbnail photo on the slide show gallery, the product name popped up on the top and the product image with product information appeared below the gallery. And the next information is the product details.
Newsmy mascots: Momo and Nunu emoji
I designed the emoji based on the exist mascots Momo (the boy) and Nunu (the girl) of the company. I sketched the character design on paper, then completed the design by Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
